Privacy Policy

The short version

The biodata you create — including any photo — is built entirely in your browser and never sent to or stored on our servers. Separately, this site may show ads served by Google AdSense, and Google's own cookies are involved in that — the sections below explain both parts clearly.

What happens to your form data

The form fields, the live preview and the PDF export all run as JavaScript in your own browser. When you download a PDF, it is generated locally on your device and saved directly to your downloads folder — it never passes through any server we operate.

What happens to your photo

Your photo is resized and compressed using your browser's own canvas API, then embedded directly into the PDF on your device. It is never uploaded anywhere, and we have no way of seeing it.

Optional draft saving

The maker includes an off-by-default "save draft on this device" toggle. If you turn it on, your in-progress biodata is saved to your browser's local storage — a storage area built into your browser, on your device only — so it's still there if you close the tab. This data never leaves your device either, and turning the toggle off deletes it immediately.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track individual visitors or build a profile of you — it only reports aggregate numbers like page views, so we can see which pages are useful and which aren't.

Advertising and Google AdSense

This site may display ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technology to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. This is separate from, and unrelated to, how the biodata maker itself handles your data — no biodata content, photo, or form field is ever shared with an advertiser.

You can review or opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings, or via aboutads.info if you're in the US. If you're visiting from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we ask for consent before showing personalized ads, in line with Google's EU user consent policy; you can change your choice at any time from the consent option available on the page.

Cookies

Beyond the advertising cookies described above, this site does not set its own tracking cookies. The Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon is cookieless. The optional draft-save feature uses local storage, not cookies, and only activates if you turn it on.

Your rights

Since we don't collect or store any personal data on our own servers, there is nothing of yours for us to export, correct or delete on request — your biodata only ever exists on your device unless you choose to share the PDF yourself. For anything related to advertising cookies, use the opt-out links above, which are controlled by Google, not by us.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Since the maker doesn't collect data at all, this is naturally the case by design.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if we add a new analytics or advertising provider — we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
